We will start at 10:00 in L016, make sure to join us soon! Date: 18 June 2012 Time: 10:00 Room: L016 (CWI) Speakers: Magne Haveraaen, Anya Helena Bagge Title 1: Magnolia: A Mouldable Language Abstracts: see below ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Magnolia: A Mouldable Language Magnolia is a new programming language being designed to be good for reasoning, transformation and efficiency. Reasoning is best served by a value-oriented semantics and a clear integration between code and specifications. Transformation friendly means the language should be easy to parse and that its semantics should be by substitutions and rewriting. Efficiency implies imperative code modifying the store and possibly parallel programming models. This presentation discusses the interplay between these goals, and how we expect to achieve all of them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://event.cwi.nl/pem ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yours, Vadim.
