Location: Vrije Universiteit, W&N gebouw, room R223 Speakers: Rix Groenboom (support manager for Parasoft in Europe) Leszek Slonczynski (senior consultant for Parasoft in Europe) Over the past 18 years, Parasoft has developed technology for testing software programs. It is now regarded the market leader in software testing solutions with world wide sales and development centers. The ultimate goal of its technology is to make software work. The tools focus on analysis of software applications on the source code level. The tools are able to test 3rd generation programming languages like Java, C++ and several .Net languages. Second, there are tools to validate web applications and to test web-services. The tools are used to support modern development methodologies (like eXtreme Programming) and are often integrated with open-source software (like Eclipse and Junit). The presentation will cover several aspects of the technology, including parsing, static analysis, automatic rule generation, source-code instrumentation, test-case generation, and construction of test-harnesses. Also, we will discuss the application of this technology to enforce Application Level Security and to support quality within outsourced projects. The speakers are Rix Groenboom (support manager for Parasoft in Europe) and Leszek Slonczynski (senior consultant and has been responsible for development of the C++ and .Net testing tools). More information about Parasoft and the different solutions can be found at: www.parasoft.com Best regards,
