This announcement can be found at Introduction to the System Analysis Toolkit Date: 13.11.03 Time: 10:00 Venue: M280 Speaker: Tobias Kuipers Title: Introduction to the System Analysis Toolkit The Software Improvement Group has been developing the System Analysis Toolkit (SAT) over the last few months. This system aims at analysing large software systems, written in a large variety of languages. Since analyses often need to be performed in a short period of time, the system needs to be fast: both in performance, and in changeability. The SAT is used both for Software Risk Assessments and for Software Portfolio Monitoring. It's main purpose is to serve as a consolidated user interface through which all software analysis related tools at the Software Improvement Group can be activated, and the results for all analysis stored, and visualised. In this talk I will discuss the design of the SAT, and give a demonstration of its various advantages (and shortcomings :-). We are thinking about making the SAT freely available for the research community, so I would like to discuss the pros and cons of that as well. A typical meeting addresses a subject in the area of programming environments, program generation, algebraic specification, term rewriting, parsing, etc. A presentation ideally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Meetings taking longer than 45 minutes are interrupted by a coffeebreak. Most Thursdays, a meeting is held which starts at 10:00 am. in one of the rooms at CWI/WINS. Exceptionally, dates or times may change. The program of the meetings is available on WWW: http://www.cwi.nl/~pem _________________________________________________________________
