For SDF2 has sailed in. This week Mark van den Brand presents a version of the Meta-Environment that supports SDF2. This announcement can be found at The New Asf+Sdf2 Meta-Environment: An Overview Date: 3.05.01 Time: 10:00 Venue: M.279 Speaker: Mark van den Brand Title: The New Asf+Sdf2 Meta-Environment: An Overview The development of the new Asf+Sdf Meta-Environment has entered a new phase. The core of the environment, parser, database, and evaluator support now Sdf2 to its full extent. This has become possible by the introduction of AsFix2ME (a flattened version of AsFix2) and by adapting the core components to this new exchange format. By means of a few example specification the power and usability of Sdf2 in combination with Asf is shown. Some figures are shown to illustrate the loss of efficiency due to the introduction of AsFix2ME. Finally, the effects of introducing Sdf2 on the other components of the Meta-Environment are discussed. _________________________________________________________________ The programming environment meetings are a forum for the presentation and discussion of new ideas, ongoing and finished work. A typical meeting addresses a subject in the area of programming environments, program generation, algebraic specification, term rewriting, parsing, etc. A presentation ideally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Meetings taking longer than 45 minutes are interrupted by a coffeebreak. Most Thursdays, a meeting is held which starts at 10:00 am. in one of the rooms at CWI/WINS. Exceptionally, dates or times may change. The program of the meetings is available on WWW: http://www.cwi.nl/~pem _________________________________________________________________
