Those who spend their time playing RPG's will enjoy this presentation by Alex van den Berg especially. In this DocGen demo RPG we will warp to corporate grounds. So polish your shoes, wear ties and practice your poker faces! This announcement can be found with links at DocGen Demo Date: 1.03.01 Time: 10:00 Venue: F 0.14 (UvA) Speaker: Alex van den Berg Title: DocGen Demo About a year ago the Software Improvement Group was founded as a spin-off of the CWI. In the past year we've been working with CWI on tranformation technology and the developed of DocGen from the initial CWI prototype. Along the way we've had a lot of contact with (potential) customers. One of the most important and fun things to do is to demo DocGen to the potential customer for the first time. Such a meeting involves a lot of questions and explanations by both sides which often results into new and interesting ideas or old frustrating issues. This PEM will be a demo of such an initial meeting. To improve the interaction we will use a role-playing game. I hope new ideas and possible research areas will surface. Have a nice day. _________________________________________________________________ The programming environment meetings are a forum for the presentation and discussion of new ideas, ongoing and finished work. A typical meeting addresses a subject in the area of programming environments, program generation, algebraic specification, term rewriting, parsing, etc. A presentation ideally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Meetings taking longer than 45 minutes are interrupted by a coffeebreak. Most Thursdays, a meeting is held which starts at 10:00 am. in one of the rooms at CWI/WINS. Exceptionally, dates or times may change. The program of the meetings is available on WWW: http://www.cwi.nl/~jurgenv/pem/index.html _________________________________________________________________
