Next week, our new colleague Ralf Lämmel will talk about the work he did and is currently doing. Because I am not there, your host will be Joost Visser. This announcement can be found at Program transformation systems Date: 28.10.99 Time: 10:00 Venue: M2.79, CWI Speaker: Ralf Lämmel Title: Program transformation systems The talk reviews some frameworks and domains for program transformations. Functional programming, natural semantics, algebraic specification, and rewriting strategies are covered as frameworks (for specification and implementation), whereas adaptive programming, renovation factories, and grammar engineering provide the (application) domains. The talk can be regarded as a survey on the author's previous and ongoing work in the context of program transformation. _________________________________________________________________ The programming environment meetings are a forum for the presentation and discussion of new ideas, ongoing and finished work. A typical meeting addresses a subject in the area of programming environments, program generation, algebraic specification, term rewriting, parsing, etc. A presentation ideally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Meetings taking longer than 45 minutes are interrupted by a coffeebreak. Most Thursdays, a meeting is held which starts at 10:00 am. in one of the rooms at CWI/WINS. Exceptionally, dates or times may change. The program of the meetings is available on WWW: http://www.cwi.nl/~pem _________________________________________________________________
