This announcement can be found at Mixfix parsing in Elan Date: 21.10.99 Time: 10:00 Venue: M2.79, CWI Speaker: Mark van den Brand Title: Mixfix parsing in Elan An overview of the activities concerning the application of Asf+Sdf technology within the Elan environment will be presented in this talk. Elan is a specification language similar to Asf and is supported by an environment consisting of a parser, interpreter, and compiler. The Elan group is planning to develop a new environment and want to use Asf+Sdf technology for parsing and (structure) editing. For the moment Asf+Sdf is used to get a better structure of the concrete syntax of Elan. Furthermore, a new intermediate format is defined based on ATerms and new mixfix parser is developed using our parsing technology. _________________________________________________________________ The programming environment meetings are a forum for the presentation and discussion of new ideas, ongoing and finished work. A typical meeting addresses a subject in the area of programming environments, program generation, algebraic specification, term rewriting, parsing, etc. A presentation ideally takes between 45 and 90 minutes. Meetings taking longer than 45 minutes are interrupted by a coffeebreak. Most Thursdays, a meeting is held which starts at 10:00 am. in one of the rooms at CWI/WINS. Exceptionally, dates or times may change. The program of the meetings is available on WWW: http://www.cwi.nl/~pem _________________________________________________________________
