Secondary review for paper Automatic Contention Detection and Amelioration for Data-Intensive Operations by John Cieslewicz, Kenneth Ross, Kyoho Satsumi, Yang Ye The primary review seems complete and sound and there are no serious problems that need secondary evaluation. All experiments were repeated and the results obtained support in general the claims of the paper. As part of the workability evaluation additional experiments were performed to study scalability in number of threads. Both global and local clones approachesscale well (with a small exception for sorted input and cardinality of 16). The results confirm the advantages of the proposed framework for contention amelioration.
